Luis Dela Vega (Enchong Dee) is very distracted about his sudden decision in marrying his girl friend - Maria Hernandez (Erich Gonzales). As for Maria, she talks to her mother - Sandra Hernandez/Nelia Kayanan (Assunta De Rossi) about her decision marrying Luis. Sandra tried to convince Maria to back out and not to marry Luis because there are lots of things that she don't want her to do. Sandra told Maria that Luis is not the right man for her and she must not waster her time on him. Since Sandra failed to convince Maria, she went to see Luis and told him a big secret. Sandra told Luis not to marry Maria because Maria is his sister. Sandra confessed to Luis that Maria is Don Fernando Dela Vega's (Ian Veneracion) daughter from her. Luis is very shocked about what Sandra told him wherein he is not going to believe that Maria is his sister. Luis told Sandra that revealing Maria as his sister has no effect for his love towards Maria. Luis knows that Sandra only told him about this for their relationship to be ruined. Luis got very confused on who he is going to believe whether his love for Maria or what Sandra told him. Luis then went home confronting his mother - Victoria Montenegro/Dela Vega (Angel Aquino) about it. Victoria is surprised to know what Luis knew from Sandra and she then tried to ease Luis' pain.
