In this episode in MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya), this is a story of two best friends who are very close to each other at first but things became different after an incident. Ester (Ara Mina) is very loyal to her best friend - Eva Linda (Rica Peralejo) wherein she is going to do her best for Eva's sake. At first, Ester worked as a manicurist in a parlor owned by her best friend - Eva. Ester also worked as Eva's personal assistant because Eva became an actress. Ester helped Eva for a couple of times specially bringing her things needed during her shooting. One night, Eva brought Ester with her and went to a disco bar wherein Eva started to drink and party all night. Ester was concerned with Eva's health but she ca not stop Eva's decisions. The day afte that, Eva has an important shooting for her upcoming movie and she is not focused o her role. Eva got so drunk after partying all night wherein she even forgot her lines for her role. Ester boost Eva's confidence by telling her to act as if the scene is real and relate it to her life experience. Eva listened to Ester's piece of advice and she was successful with her acting. After that incident, Eva can not live a day without her best friend - Ester at her side. Then came a day that Ester needs to leave Eva alone because Ester's daughter got sick. Eva tried to stop Ester from leaving but Ester insisted that she must be with her daughter that is sick. Eva got disappointed with Ester and insulted her telling Ester that she doesn't want to see her anymore. Ester went home to her husband - Ranny and her sick daughter wherein her husband is not happy to see her back home. Ester and her husband argued with each other because Ranny doesn't want Ester to work away from them. Ester told Ranny that she supposed to stay with them if only he looked for work. Days passed and Ester went back working at the parlor wherein suddenly she is surprised to see her old friend - Rolly (Archie Alemania). Ester and Rolly went strolling in a nearby river wherein Rolly admitted his feelings towards Ester. Ester told Rolly that she can not love him back because she already have a daughter and a husband. Rolly then told Ester that he is willing to wait for the right time for her to love him back since she is not married to her husband. When Ester's daughter is already okay, Ester went back working as Eva's personal assistant. Ester gave all her time to her best friend - Eva but then came one day that Ester was accused of stealing Eva's necklace. Ester told Eva that she is not the one who stole her necklace because she can never do such thing. Eva didn't mind Ester's explanation and this broke their friendship. Ester went back to her home town to be with her own family. Ester's husband became a drunkard wherein he and Ester finally broke up. After Ester and her husband - Ranny broke up, she then said yes to Rolly and they became a new family. Ester became rich while her best friend - Eva's career started to fade. So now that Eva is starting to become poor, will she ever ask for Ester's help and ask forgiveness after all the insults she gave to her?
